Parallel

The Knuckle-Baller is held with the massage balls positioned along the length of the muscle. As pressure is applied the stroke is directed as needed along the muscle. Pressure can be held in a general area as a twisting or circular motion is applied for a deeper more generalized massage. |
Perpendicular

With this stroke the Knuckle-Baller is held with the massage balls positioned across the length of the muscle. Pressure is then applied as a long smooth stroke is performed up and down the length of the muscle. The use of various hand positions, including both hands on the tool, will provide maximum comfort for the user. |
Trigger
Point

With this function the Knuckle-Baller is positioned so that one individual ball can be used as direct or static pressure point. Apply and hold direct pressure to the desired area. Use both hands if needed to direct and steady the pressure and ease stress on the user. |
Oblique
(45 Degrees)
Turning the tool slightly from the Perpendicular
positions will have the effect of closing the distance between
the massage balls thereby eliminating the gap between the
balls and allowing for more even contact with the muscle being
massaged. |
Full
Body
Although the previous sketches have depicted the Knuckle-Baller being used on the Calf Muscle, you can use all of the described techniques on any part of the body. The important thing to remember is to use just the right amount of pressure and stay away from bony structure such as the spine. |
Reverse
Position
This position differs totally from the previous described methods of holding the Knuckle-Baller. In the Reverse Position the massage balls are in the palm of the hand rather than above the knuckles. When held in this position the Knuckle-Baller becomes one of the most useful and versatile self-massage tools available. Use the reverse position to reach back of shoulders, neck and other hard to reach areas of the body. |
Feet
This
is one of our favorites. Use the Knuckle-Baller in any of
the previously described ways (Parallel, Perpendicular or
Trigger Point) and you are in for a real treat . |
